What if when the time comes and he proposes to me and I know I want to spend the rest of my life with him but... the ring is not to my liking? I know, I know, horrible aren't I? But come on, that ring is going to be on your finger for the rest of your life.
What do I do? Do I suck it up and accept the ring he has bought for me? He probably has spent a lot of time searching and probably believes he has picked the utmost perfect ring. Or do I tell him that I am not 100% content with it? Oh the dilemmas!
I guess by the time the marriage talk comes up he should already know my style and preference or at least attempt to have learned it. Maybe, he will ask a girlfriend of mines to confirm the style and cut of the ring? But you can never put anything past men...
Here are my all time favorite 2 engagement rings:
The Round Solitaire - a classic and clean look
The Cushion Diamond Band - an elegant and super blingy look.

Also, the center stone of my engagement ring has to be a minimum of 2 carats (non-negiotiable) with a white gold or platinum band. My fingers are quite long and my hands are not small, so a small diamond won't simply do it. I wouldn't want people to assume I am wearing a promise ring as opposed to an engagement ring.
Have I set my standards too high? Am I demanding too much? I guess we will just have to wait and see how much he really loves me.. haha!! :)
Don't kill me ok....

Haha! I love the non-negotiable part. Every woman has been dreaming of the perfect wedding, the perfect proposal and of course, the perfect ring. So, it’s perfectly normal for us to plan these kinds of things. I’m sure your boyfriend understands that and I bet you’ll definitely love the ring that he’ll give you when the time comes. :)
ReplyDeletefingers crossed!! :)
DeleteWho wouldn’t love those rings you’ve posted? If I have to choose, I’ll pick that Round Solitaire diamond ring. Its classic look is definitely timeless! In fact, it reminds me of my grandmother’s engagement ring. :”>
ReplyDeleteThat non-negotiable part is funny but that's true. An engagement ring should be perfectly selected.
