One night, on the beaches of Varadero, Cuba I decided to practice some yoga because I was seriously experiencing withdrawal from my weekly Bikram's Hot Yoga classes. I did not go full out into it, just practiced some postures I would like to be able to go deeper into. The standing bow pose - dandayamana-dhanurasana (sanskrit) is what I am doing in the picture below. Ideally, the body should be lower, almost parallel to the ground and the leg lifted to stretch higher but because I was wearing sandals (should be practiced bare footed) my balance was not at its prime.
