An hour after police held a news conference to warn women about a series of sex assaults in two Toronto neighbourhoods, Krista Ford, daughter of Councillor Doug Ford, offered her own advice.
“Stay alert, walk tall, carry mace, take self-defence classes & don’t dress like a whore,” Krista Ford, niece of Mayor Rob Ford, wrote on Twitter just after 6 p.m., adding “#DontBeAVictim” and “#StreetSmart.”
Mace is considered a prohibited and restricted weapon, according to the Toronto police sex crimes unit.
Krista Ford, who describes herself on her Twitter account as a personal trainer, promotional model and TV personality, is a former player for Toronto Triumph, part of the U.S.-based Lingerie Football League. She quit the team last October.
She did not reply to a request for comment Wednesday evening.
Last year, a Toronto cop was lambasted for saying that “women should avoid dressing like sluts not to be victimized” during a speech. The comments launched “SlutWalk,” a series of marches in cities around the world protesting comments about women’s dress or appearance being linked to sexual assault. The officer later apologized.

Like what was she thinking by making such a bold statement "don't dress like a whore"? Sexual predators don't only attack women who are supposedly "dressed like whores" although they do attract the wrong type of men. That portion of her tweet was totally unnecessary especially since she was apart of the Toronto Triumph Lingerie Football League.
